This section of France on Foot.com is designed to be a clearing house for new and supplemental information about walking in France on the immense French trail system, and the majority of the updates should come from those of you who have planned and taken a walk on the Grande Randonnee (GR) paths. Please share your walking vacation by e-mailing walk@franceonfoot.com. Click on the topics above to see e-mailed questions and comments as well as the new information I have gathered about the French trails since my book, France on Foot, was published. In particular, I urge experienced walkers to peruse the Questions & Queries page; your specific knowledge about certain French paths may be just the answer a fellow walker is looking for. One caveat: please do not e-mail the site asking us to plan your trip or recommend a general route. The trails are everywhere in France so finding the area that interests you is best left up to you.
